How much does it cost to apply for a zoning change?
A $100 fee is collected to apply for a zoning change request.

Why do I have to apply to the Planning & Zoning Commission to build a carport in my front yard?
Regulations within the City of Vernon Zoning Ordinance dictate the placement of front yard carports. Please refer to the Carport Handout.

What if I disagree with the Planning & Zoning Commission’s decision?
Any party or individual disagreeing with the decision of the Planning & Zoning Commission may appeal such decision to the City Commission.
