Pre-HUD manufactured homes (all manufactured homes built before June 15, 1976) are prohibited in the City of Vernon. HUD code-approved manufactured homes are allowed in any lawfully operated mobile home park. A manufactured home may also be located as a fixed dwelling unit in zoning district R-G and with a special use permit in R-2. A manufactured home must be skirted and properly tied down.
