Responsibilities
The Planning and Zoning division of the Community Development Department is responsible for:
- Receiving zoning change and specific use requests
- Interpreting the Zoning Ordinance
- Processing and recommending amendments to the Zoning Ordinance
- Assisting residents and developers in platting and development
- Managing Flood Damage Prevention within the City
The purpose of the division is to ensure safe and orderly growth within the City limits and extraterritorial jurisdiction.
